Frequently Asked Questions
Where are your pieces made?
We work with family run factories in Portugal, Thailand, and Lithuania with decades of experience and responsible production methods. We chose them because they are the best at their craft, and have passed down traditional techniques through generations. You can read more about how and where we produce our collections at the bottom of each product page.
What can I expect with handmade goods?
While our pieces are mostly handcrafted and made with natural materials, we've designed them specifically to hold up to years of daily use. And yes, everything is dishwasher friendly and ceramics are microwave/oven safe. That said, if met with enough impact or dropped, they will break. To increase longevity of your pieces and be gentle to the planet, avoid harsh, abrasive detergents. Handmade goods have a higher degree of variability within each lot and piece.
What's this about matte glazes? Does it stain more easily?
Not exactly. While our natural oxide glaze is non-porous, it will occasionally pick up some flatware markings if you're really cutting into that steak. Fret not, these are superficial marks, and can be removed with a simple solution of vinegar and baking soda, or a dab of Barkeeper's Friend.
Can I get a glaze sample?
We don't currently offer samples, but you can order one of our smaller pieces like the breakfast bowl or lunch plate to see in person. We'll gladly accept any returns on pieces you don't wish to keep.
Can I place a bulk order?
Yes, we regularly work with restaurants and hospitality groups. If you need to place an order for $5000 or more, just shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Interested in being a stockist? Please fill out this form.
How long will it take for me to receive my items?
We ship out most items via UPS ground and occasionally USPS for smaller packages. In normal circumstances, you will receive your package within 5-7 business days. **Please note that during this time, all carriers are experiencing severe delays due to Covid-19, and while we do our very best to fulfill orders by the next business day, the carrier is responsible for your package and delivery once it leaves our hands.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns on any unused merchandise within 30 days of you receiving your package. You'll be credited back on your original form of payment (minus any shipping costs). You will be responsible for ensuring your return package arrives safely. Unless you are returning a damaged or defective item, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Variation in shape and glaze is an inherent part of handmade and not considered a defect.
If you received a defective or damaged item, please let us know immediately by filling out this form. We'll send you a replacement or issue a refund right away!
Can I make changes to orders I've already placed?
If we have not yet shipped out your order, we'll make every effort to accommodate your requests! Just shoot us at email at email@example.com.
I don't know what colors to go with, and how do I know how many sets I need?
