Frequently Asked Questions
Where are your pieces made?
We work with family run factories in Portugal, Thailand, and Lithuania with decades of experience and responsible production methods. We chose them because they are the best at their craft, and have passed down traditional techniques through generations. You can read more about how and where we produce our collections at the bottom of each product page.
What can I expect with handmade goods?
While our pieces are mostly handcrafted and made with natural materials, we've designed them specifically to hold up to years of daily use. And yes, everything is dishwasher friendly and ceramics are microwave/oven safe. Handmade goods have a higher variability within each lot and piece. That means, irregularities and small imperfections are lovingly embraced. That said, if you do receive a piece that is defective, we would be happy to replace them!
What's this about matte glazes? Does it stain more easily?
Not exactly. While our natural oxide glaze is non-porous, it will occasionally pick up some flatware markings if you're really cutting into that steak. Fret not, these are superficial marks, and can be removed with a simple solution of vinegar and baking soda, or a dab of Barkeeper's Friend.
Can I get a glaze sample?
We don't currently offer samples, but you can order one of our smaller pieces like the breakfast bowl or lunch plate to see in person. We'll gladly accept any returns on pieces you don't wish to keep.
Can I place a bulk order?
Yes, we regularly work with restaurants and hospitality groups. If you need to place an order for $5000 or more, just shoot us an email at email@example.com. Interested in being a stockist? Please reach out!
How long will it take for me to receive my items?
We ship out most items via UPS ground and occasionally USPS for smaller packages. In most cases, you will receive your package within 5-7 business days. We currently do not offer expedited shipping.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns on any unused merchandise within 30 days of you receiving your package. You'll be credited back on your original form of payment (minus any shipping costs). You will be responsible for ensuring your return package arrives safely. Unless you are returning a damaged or defective item, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Variation in shape and glaze is an inherent part of handmade and not considered a defect.
If you received a defective or damaged item, please let us know immediately by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order information and photos of the damaged items. We'll send you a replacement or issue a refund right away!
Can I make changes to orders I've already placed?
If we have not yet shipped out your order, we'll make every effort to accommodate your requests! Just shoot us at email at email@example.com.
I don't know what colors to go with, and how do I know how many sets I need?
We get asked this a lot. So we created a short quiz and we'll make the best recommendation for you here.
